Each year the wonderful village of Farnese, located on the border of Lazio and Tuscany, organizes many interesting cultural events, fairs and festivals, that are always very enjoyable and fun.

Here is a list of some of the best events held in Farnese throughout the year:

January:

-“Sagra della Bruschetta” (Festival of the Bruschetta): held on the 17th to celebrate St. Antonio, bruschetta is a toasted bread seasoned with garlic and olive oil and sometimes other toppings, including vegetables or meat. During this festival food stalls are set up offering visitors the chance to try this delicious Italian delicacy and other typical products, whilst enjoying games and musical shows.

December:

-“Feste per il Natale” (Festivals for Christmas): traditional, colourful and beautiful festivities for Christmas, with an elaborate nativity, built by the citizens of Farnese, games for children, musical entertainment and delicious dishes from the local cuisine.
